Robbie,

I have never tried steaming it.

I always bake it face down in about 1 inch of water in a glass

baking pan.

If it was still crunchy like bean sprouts, it wasn't done yet. When

it is done, it is much softer, more like angel hair pasta.

All that said, I don't like it with pasta sauce on it. My kids and

husband like it a lot though.

I like it with butter and cheese melted in it. It reminds me of

those Lipton side dishes with angel hair pasta... from long ago

in my distant past during college...LOL.

I would try steaming it for longer, until it is soft.

I just boil mine for a few minutes, but quite honestly it is

different than " real " pasta. It took several introductions for my

son to decide it was pretty good stuff! If you are using dairy, you

might try it with butter and cheese.

? It was almost 'sweet' too and just didn't seem to be a good combo with the

pasta sauce,

which turned out really good.

It sounds like it was underdone. We like it with chicken stroganoff, I think

from the

pecanbread site.

2cups cooked chicken, cut up into small chunks

1 chopped onion

1/2lb mushrooms, sliced

1cup homemade chicken broth

1/2cup yogurt

In a large frying pan, saute onions and mushrooms until soft. Add chopped

chicken, broth

and salt and pepper. Let simmer until reduced by half. Stir in yogurt as soon

as it's warm.

This is als yummy served over steamed shredded zucchini.

Could you give some details on how you do this? Do you peel and cut

it up in chunks, or what?

Sorry for the delay, haven't had a chance to log on. I do not peel

first, just cut in half, fourths, or whatever you can manage and

whatever will fit in your pots. I have to use a large, chef knife

and bang the heck out of it to get it cut up. I honestly can't tell

you an exact boil time but didn't take as long as I thought it

would - maybe ten minutes or so. Just poke it with a fork and if it

starts coming apart like spaghetti all the way down to the skin,

it's done. Drain and scrape the " spaghetti " out of the skin with a

fork. I hope this helps.
