I never want something sweet when I'm hungry except when I'm VERY hungry because I wasn't able to eat for hours (that happened frequently when I was working in the OR). Usually I don't crave candy when I'm physically hungry. Regards s.
Guest guest
It seems to me that eating ONLY for hunger into a RULE dangerously teeters on diet mentality. I try and take that idea as a guideline for reminding me that my body really needs food for fuel purposes. However, eating can be a taste/pleasure driven thing too! I am finding that IE does take some time and patience on my part as well as not-hard-on-myself type acceptance that old habits will hang on, diminishing as time goes on, but most likely never to be totally gone. Just being NOT 'plagued' by these so much or often is a relief and its also wonderful to know that if I really want something - for whatever reason - I am better off to acknowledge and allow than to fight and 'lose' anyway. Want to eat candy? ENJOY it! I have found that crave drive can and does pass with permission and awareness too. BEST to you, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > > > I am so with you there. when I'm hungry, I want food that will make me not hungry, and a cookie isn't going to do it. half a dozen cookies might, but would probably make me sick. so when do I get to eat the candy? > > > > I think what I tend to do is eat candy when I am only a little bit hungry, not enough for a meal. if I wanted another hour I wouldn't want it anymore, because I'd want something more filling. Or I eat some real food and some candy, if I'm genuinely hungry but also want sweets. > > > > it's a real problem though. > > > > thea > > >
