Guest guest
, It was totally ok that the list was posted. I had actually gone to her sight to see the list myself. I think it was wonderful and only wish I could have gotten to see the show myself. I have many friends who are teachers and let me tell you they don't do it for the money. Guest guest
Way to be , I'm still trying to get down to my weight for surgery, 264, and I have a ways to go yet. I have had diabetes for 20 years, and I have just thrown meds at it without any attempt to control what I eat. As a result, my body is resistant to insulin and I am having an awful time trying to get things back in control. Right now I am working with the diabetes management people at Kaiser, and I'm feeling kind of down today because, for the third week in a row, the sugar people change my insulin and I respond for the first few days, and then my readings zoom back up there again, even though my eating doesn't change to account for it. I keep telling myself that, if I just hang in there and keep eating a healthy diet, the diabetes will get under control, and all the pounds will come off, but it all looks far away right now. I'm not really having a pity party, I think that it's great that I have finally decided to take a little control of my body and my disease, I'm just having a bad day right now, not just with the weight thing, but other things go on in our lives as well sometimes that don't help. Thanks for listening, and I do admire you for being able to stay at your weight for surgery. Guest guest
LaWanda, sorry you’re having a rough day. You are right – if you keep eating healthy and doing what the doctors want you to do with your meds, it will get under control and weight will come off. I know it’s frustrating in the meantime and like you said, there are so many other stressors that impact our lives everyday. Hope you have a better day tomorrow! - Lesa - Re: To Laurie W. re: the teachers on channel 3 news last night Way to be , I'm still trying to get down to my weight for surgery, 264, and I have a ways to go yet. Guest guest
Thanks Lessa, I have cheered up a little, and I think my day tomorrow will be good. You have a happy Thanksgiving.
