Guest guest
OMG LOOK it's ........there she gooooooooooooooooooooes. HeeHee ...I think it's great that you are pursuing your dreams. I know how you feel I made a promise to myself a long time ago that I would learn scuba diving after I lose enough weight to do it comfortably. It's a goal I have that I intend to keep. I love the ocean and I want to see the underwater realm before I die. Good luck..... Gordy -40# > > > > > > > > > > > > I have finally decided on what I want for my tattoo. Guest guest
Hi Gordy, et al, You folks have gotten me to thinking. Pre-surgery, I know that I made a list of things that I wanted to do once I got smaller. Of course, I can't find it now - and get smaller isn't enough of an improvement to let me do some of those things, but the prospect of improved mobility in the foreseeable future has me making a new list. Scuba diving sounds great - but I can't imagine jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. , you are a brave soul. I want to raft or kayak down white water. That has always seemed like such a rush. Less adventurously, I want to ride a bicycle, go to an amusement park and ride all the rides (I'm probably small enough now to fit the rides, but all the walking involved would keep it from being a lot of fun - I'll probably save that trip until my new knees are fully functional), learn to ride a horse, and learn to dance. Even with new knees, skiing is probably out of the picture - I think that it stresses the knees in just the wrong way - but my sister volunteers with " Challenge Alaska " which is group that helps disabled folks participate in sports, mostly skiing, and she has shown me pictures of people in sit-skies. Now that looks like fun! I am going to do that one of these days - probably as soon as I can swing the finances. I guess the theme of all of this is simply that I want to participate in life - I'm tired to watching it go by. I hope to see what other folks have on their wish lists. I have no qualms about " stealing " ideas. Take care, Kay in San Leandro open RNY 12/1/03 Gordy wrote: > > OMG LOOK it's ........there she gooooooooooooooooooooes. Guest guest
Hi Shana, Sounds like you're going to have a fantastic Thanksgiving. You have wonderful things to look forward to - that aren't food! My husband and I are planning on going down to San Diego right after Thanksgiving. I wish I could talk him into a detour to Disneyland - but he hates amusement parks, so that will have to wait. Probably just as well - I'll find someone to go with me after I get my new knees. Have a great time. Oh . . . and let us know how well your butt fit . . .. that is useful info for some of us hopeful tourists. All the best, Kay in San Leandro open RNY 12/1/03 skeaquinta wrote: > > Hi Kay...one of many things on my to do list is being able to try on > my mom's 4ct diamond tennis bracelet.
