The Mods are still sickly............ and Tracie are still very sick and I am doing much better at the moment.....am slowly adjusting to the Prednisone and beginning to cut back the dosage a little bit so hopefully I will tolerate it better than last time! Rose is still not completely straightened up from her move and so Debbie and I are holding down the fort.............. When you feel up to it and can...........post so we will know how you all are........we Mods worry about all of you and unless we see you posting from time to time, we have no clue as to how you are doing.................. Guest guest Posted August 21, 2004 Report Share Posted August 21, 2004 Dear Darlene and all... I haven't been feeling too well and have been in a depression. These depressions come and go with me. I try to get 'into' something to get my mind off of it and it works alot of the time. This last week alot of people have been wanting my time and attention and I have only just so much to go around and still take care of myself. Why is it everybody 'wants' at the same time!? My son finished bootcamp for the Marines and was transferred to Norfolk, VA this week and has called me every day wanting me to send him stuff. His girlfriend wants to move out by him and he wants me to help her with that if I can. I think she should visit first and see where she'd like to live first. They've only known each other 5-6 months and are head-over-heels in LOVE LOVE LOVE with each other. I wish they'd take things just a tad slower. oh well... My eldest son who still lives at home started a new job this week and treats me rather jerkily at times. I think he may be 'encouraged' to leave as soon as he gets established in this new job. He does nothing to help around the house and he's 22. Little birdie's gonna fly soon...lol. Someone wanted me to identify the people in a communion photo taken about 40 years ago. yeah right!... as if!....I can't remember what happened last week much less 40 years ago. Honestly....my memory is really bad and getting worse. Now I know why I've journaled all these years. There is a baby shower that I'll be missing today and my brother and wife came down from up north and I feel too crappy to have them over. Sleeping days and awake all night again. wonder why I'm depressed? oh and add in that I hadn't written any bills in two or three weeks and it took me three hours to catch up on even 'some' of that last night. I used to be so good with the checkbook and bills and now I forget to pay bills thinking I already paid them....several times I wrote in the same deposit twice. One month I made $500 worth of mistakes. I feel stressed out so much lately. On a good note i ordered a cd and I really like it. It's by a group called TAIT. just excellent . techno pop, abit of rap, rock-on music and a few slower songs. excellent vocals. THIS is how I'm doing. BTW..... ranting and rambling here has saved my life and sanity. THANKS mods...really...thanks Just imagine if I had to keep all this crap bottled up inside! I'm having so much back & leg pain that it's hard to even sit in my recliner & read email. I saw a neurosurgeon, because all the discs in my lower back are bad. He doesn't think that's where the pain is coming from & ordered a bone scan, which I was supposed to have last week & slept through. It's rescheduled for next week. Guest guest Posted August 26, 2004 Report Share Posted August 26, 2004 The weird thing, Darlene, is that 2 of my lumbar discs are causing nerve compression to the left, but my pain is in the right hip & leg. But it feels similar to the pain I had from a ruptured cervical disc, just not as severe. And with both of these, I get some relief with pushing hard where it hurts. So it feels like ruptured disc pain, even if the MRI says it should hurt on the other side! I've had 2 MRI's & an x-ray that all say the same, so I don't think it's a typo. We'll see, I guess.
