Some thoughts to share

Hi everyone!

I was down at my folks in Riverside this past

weekend and was helping

sort through some of my G'parents books (my entire

family are

bookaholics) and I found some typed pages my G'ma

(she passed last

august at 94) had done probably 20+ years ago,

stuck in a book

One of the pages is titled " Quiet

Thoughts " by Jeanette Ruiz and I

thought I would share 2 of my favorites. They help

remind me to eat

slow and be mindful of what I'm eating now that

I'm on Stage III

Treasure each new day-

It's beauty, it's joy, it's promise,

so that every new tomorrow begins with a happy

memory.

May the sun bring you new energies by day-

May the moon softly restore you by night-

May the rain wash away any worries you may have-

And may you walk gently through the world all the

days of you life-

Cheers!

Hi Colleen,

Yes, I miss them both very much. My folks took care of both paternal

G'Parents for the last 10 years of their lives. I used to go down

monthly to give them breaks (I'm up in the Bayarea). It was a 24 hour

job. G'pa passed in 2002 at 98 (mental facilities intact) and G'ma in

2003...71 years of marriage. Amazing.

Cheers
