Guest guest
I've been taking this for years - it comes in tablet and capsule form. If it's legal, a capsule could be broken apart and sprinkled on food or put in juice, though it's got a 'green food' taste to it. I'm not sure if it's legal though. The only thing I'm concerned about in my view of ingredients is 'dried adzuki sprouts' but I could also be missing something else. Anyway, I saw conversation about someone wanting a legal 'green food' supplement - if anyone can tell me if this is legal, I'd sure appreciate it. http://www.maximizeyourlife.com/pages/basics.htm It's the Vita Sprout I'm wondering about and if you click on 'facts' under that product it brings up all the ingredients. I'm not looking for a SCD seal of approval, just if anyone sees anything that is illegal that I'm missing. I realize it will be a 'take at your own risk' thing. Guest guest
Sorry, Kathy... I think the only answer we can really give is that kelp, kombu..... any kind of seaweed..... is just not SCD legal. We would not be able to recommend doing this at all. Patti, mom to Katera, SCD 14 months ----- Original Message ----- Since Kelp is such a good source of minerals, I wonder if it would be legal to let kelp such as kombu simmer in soup broth or in beans and then remove it. Would that be a way to send some of those good minerals into the liquid without having to try to digest the starch? Just a thought, perhaps its way off though, Kathy H. Guest guest
Hi Kathy, The polysaccharides from the kelp would probably leach into the water the same way that they do when cooking potatoes.
