Try using pearsauce, dripped like the yogurt, instead of the

applesauce. Squash is much thicker than applesauce and

works better as a subsitute for bananas in a recipe.

Subsituting nut butter for nut flour is a 1:1 ratio.

Tali,

I just made the Cinnamon cookies in Lucy's Kitchen Shop Cookbook and I

substituted macadamia butter. One could always use vegetable oil instead of

melted

butter. They were very good. They came out a bit crispy but got soft when I

stored them in a tin. Next time I am going to store them uncovered to keep the

crisp.

when I use macadamia nut butter I skim the oil off before using. Better yet,

put mac. flour in the food processor and turn it into nutbutter. It comes out

thicker. You may need to leave the squash out or just add a tiny bit because it

gets too moist. Another trick is to put it in a low oven after they are baked

to crisp them up. about 140 for 10 minutes then turn off and leave them in.
