Guest guest
I don't know what state you live in suzi, but it didn't work that way here and I'm in a major city. I had to make my own appt because the Endo's my pcp called wouldn't even bother to call him back. They no longer accepted the insurance I had, and he spent days trying to get some idiot to call back, so I finally said I'd could it myself. I called his office back, told the nurse, who I was, what I needed, namely a referral to an Endo and that day she faxed the paperwork to the Endo. The pcp agreed because he wasn't getting anywhere. Took me 2 hours, on my bosses time, and I had an appt within 3 weeks. They don't always put those of us in need of apts at the top of the list. That is a hard lesson to learn, but it is fact in many Endo offices. Some Endo's literally take 3 months to get into see. Period. They may even have appts they can make, but you can bet the new patient isn't always gonna get it either. I tried that too. SandyE~Houston Re: Sick to death of doctors!
