I'm soooo sorry to hear of all your problems.......if I could offer you one

piece of solid advice, given your struggles and the doctor's reluctance to

'think outside the box' and find some solutions for you....go to an

accredited naturopath - seriously, they will work with you to solve the

issues you are having with yeast and those infections that pop up with no

explanation. They have an insight into this that medical doctors do not and

they are trained to find out why this is happening and not just pacify you

by plugging you with more useless meds........Please do this for yourself.

Also, there is a great book called 'free to fly' - you might check it out at

your local library and see if they have it. It is an amazing story about a

woman who struggled with some of the same problems (minus the liver issues

of course) - It is a Canadian Book, so I do not know if you can get it. I

have it here, if you want it, I will gladly mail it to you.

>Dear Barb and PSC family,

>It does seem ages since I've posted much. I save e-mails that I plan to

>answer and that list becomes unmanageable and I don't do anything. Let's

>see What news then is new? I never recovered from my sinus surgery a year

>ago. I went to so many doctors and never found any answers. My nose hurts a

>lot. The bridge of my nose is sinking. I wake up with my nose swollen every

>morning and it is deforming in a few other places. I haven't a clue what

>other kind of doctor I could see. I have had such a horrible response to

>anitbiotics that I will only be given them on a life-threatening situation.

>My chronic UTI turned into interstitial cystitis. I had a hysterectomy and

>they stretched my bladder which is supposed to cure the IC. I am retaining

>fluid in my legs and beginning in my abdomen. I am on a very salt

>restricted diet. I am not on diuretics yet. But the restrictive diet isn't

>working. I got a really nasty viral infection. I ran a very high fever for

>days and still have a low grade fever

>every night. I then discovered a week ago that I have oral thrush. I had

>white patches all over my mouth and down my throat. The dr was fairly

>certain that it was down my esophagus as well. I'm wondering if maybe it is

>a fungus that is in my sinuses. I can't find a local doctor to consider it.

>I have horrible acne and sores on my body that nobody seems to know what to

>do about it. I am on diflucan and have a week left to go on it. I tried

>adding acidophilus but it made me so sick giving me dry heaves for an hour

>at a time. I have also been taken off 6-mp since my RBC and WBC have been

>running low for months now. I have not been on antibiotics for a long time

>so the yeast infection isn't from a recent bout with antibiotics. I have

>been going on a sugar/yeast free diet since the diagnosis. I also can't get

>a local doctor to help me with anything other than take the diflucan.

> So here's a question, do any of you have experiences with yeast

>infections simultaneously occurring in your body? What do you know about

>the yeast free diets? I asked my GP and my Rhuematologist about them and

>they both said that they didn't see any medical advantage. I have been

>treating myself for vaginal yeast infections off and on for over a year. I

>feel like maybe that is part of my problem. My fatigue is much worse. I

>could sleep away most of the day if I didn't have my little ones to look

>after. I am also falling asleep very easily if I try to watch a program or

>movie at home. I have given up all my diet cokes and all carbonated drinks,

>so I am not having any caffeine.

> My fibromyalgia is in a horrible flare. I haven't been able to take

>any of the normal drugs that help others. Right now we are just treating

>the pain. I use hydrocodone. My itching is pretty bad, but it has been

>worse. Two of my kids , 22 and Alyson, 25 have been having very

>significant health problems and have not had definitive diagnoses. My

>Suzie, 18 is getting married in June. My step-dad is in the late stages of

>Congestive heart failure. My sister has children who have Celiac. My family

>support network can't help me out physically. We are very weary with

>dealing with so many health issues continually but we are blessed in having

>very supportive friends. My husband is a saint, but I can see that he is

>wearing down. I need to take care of my difficult 4 year old. Any advice

>would be great. Take care, you all are in my thoughts and prayers, Cheryl
