" Prescription for Nutritional Healing " by Balch & Balch mentions burdock root,

cayenne, chaparral, dandelion root, red clover, and yellow dock root as helpful

for abcesses. Also mentions liquid fast with fresh juices. Distilled water

with fresh lemon juice and threee cups daily of echinacea, goldenseal, and

suma tea. Says that applying honey to the area may help and to clean the area

with chlorophyll mixed with water several times daily. Also advises to eat kelp

for its vitamins and minerals. I haven't needed to try these ( more accurately

didn't have the book back when I had the abcess), so can't give firsthand

experience. HTH I've also heard about the cayenne from a local person I know

who's active in the anti-mercury movement.
