Guest guest
Hello Again, I love all the postive talk I'm reading today! So much exitement, we've had solid stools for the last 3 days too!!!!! I have gone to the Custom Probotics website but I am unsure about what to order. Any suggestions? As a newbie with no tests that tell us otherwise, do you recommend I simply start with the L.Acidophulus powder? Please advise! Thanks sooo much! Guest guest
My son has been on the diet since last Friday - so one week tomorrow. I am going to order the powder for him - his stools are far from normal though. Should they be normal before I start? Or at least better? He did not go at all yesterday, and what I saw this am in his pull-up was, well, bad. But, it was so odd looking that I wouldn't be surprised if there is a dieoff process going on - it's hard to explain. Anyone else UC having gone through this? He is in an active flare and on meds, but meds aren't working. I just got the book today - I'm hoping it will answer some questions for me. Thank you! Guest guest
Hi Robbie, > I have to see the blood stop - that's the main thing, or he'll get too anemic. This is why I'm scared to try almond flour - just don't want to aggrivate his tummy. You could try Elaine's liver pate recipe in BTVC (I made it with onions and whiskey - alcohol evaporates). Orange juice at the same meal will aid in iron absorption. If he is still having blood and mucous than yes, it may be too soon for the almond flour. When ready to add more it may be better if you can start with nut butter. Not as abrasive on his tender gut. Sheila
