Guest guest Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 - I'm sorry Suzanne is having to go through all of this! Hopefully, they can find something to help her feel better soon. Your data for the doctors was wonderful. I doubt they were negative about it in any way, but if they were - for shame!!! Information is good; a concise, written record leaves no question as to dates, frequency, severity of pain, etc. Good for you! And thoughts and prayers to both of you and your family. Take care. Joanne (, Ca; mom of , UC/PSC 2-06) > > Today Suzanne went in for an ultrasound because her LFTs were suddenly elevated. I knew Suzanne's IBD symptoms were escalating so I started recording the frequency in Excel... Every doctor and nurse that came to talk to us in the ER wanted to see the graph - Anyway - a crazy as we may be, I say, let's keep collecting the data! > > I will keep you updated when I can. > > LINDA > (Mom of Suzanne, UC 1/04; PSC 3/04 & currently a shriveled gallbladder) > Quote
Guest guest Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 Oh , You and Suzanne are in my prayers. Poor baby…something has to work soon. Maybe they just got a clue to something that will make it all make sense?! Welcome to the nerd brigade and know that while some MIGHT make jokes about us, I doubt it is the doctors. The ones who I think would are much less vested in anything this scary and uncontrollable from a mom’s standpoint. I am there with you in excel spreadsheet spirit. Quote
Guest guest Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 Dear , Many, Many, Many prayers are being sent up from land for you and Suzanne. And the doctors so they may have the wisdom to recommend the best course of action for Suzanne. I can only imagin their shock and awe at such an organized mom who really is helping them do their job better. I bet they wish they had this kind of data on all their patients! I wish I could hug you again!!! Keep us updated as time permits -- we know you have way more important things to attend to! Prayers and positive vibes are on their way! Dana (Mom of Josh, UC 3/04, PSC 4/04) The GI said to get Suzanne to the ER so we can admit her because 1) her gall bladder looks shriveled and 2) her IBD symptoms are not improving. > >I have been keeping a bar graph of frequency of bm with a few notations as well (i.e. when methotrexate & remicade were given). Every doctor and nurse that came to talk to us in the ER wanted to see the graph - > LINDA > (Mom of Suzanne, UC 1/04; PSC 3/04 & currently a shriveled gallbladder) > Quote
