Marcella,

Good to hear from you and we are so glad isaac is making progress. Please tell

us what Isaac currently eats and if there are any foods he does not like or has

a bad reaction to. Have you tried the yogurt yet? Can he tolerate nut butter and

nut flour? These are very calorie dense and can be snuck into many recipes.

Some calorie dense foods;

banana, avocado, SCD mayonnaise, nut flour and nut butter (baked into SCD

cookies and cakes with honey and butter), yellow squash, (squash chips or fries)

duck, SCD frostings and candies, SCD breads with butter, full fat legal cheeses.

I agree. Depending on what Isaac can eat nut butters and honey on

Midas pancakes is a good one....let us know what he can tolerate.

I would suggest adding fats..... healthy oils (expeller pressed, good quality...

from health food store) and higher fat, easy to digest foods like avacados and

nut butters.

We have to gain some weight! Help!

This is our 13th week on the diet. The changes have been profound.

Isaac is not the same little boy and even his muscle tone is

improving now BUT the weight is not good. Last time he was at the Dr

he was at the 100th percentile with his height and his weight was the

8th percentile. He seems to have had a growth spurt lately and is

definitely taller BUT I just weighed him and he is down 2 or 3 lbs.

So his weight is less than when he started the diet. He lost

initially and then gained a little but I stopped weighing because

everything seemed fine. Please give me some ideas to get his weight

up? I guess all those bananas he has been eating aren't helping. I

thought of them as high in carb but I also understand that people

don't typically gain much with raw food as opposed to cooked. I just

can't think right now and I need to get his weight up. I tried those

green lima beans 2 nights ago and they caused looser stools. The poor

kid can barely keep his pants up and I can see the muscles in his

stomach. HELP!!

Marcella
