Jen,

I'm sure others will chime in, but my advice is always to start with Houston

enzymes Houston

Nutraceuticals Inc . You can get all the info on how to start, how to dose,

etc. at

EnzymeStuff Site - Everything about

digestive e… The reason I'd do them first is that with improved digestion

some of the other supplements may not be necessary. And No-Fenol seems to be a

good test for yeast. It is overwhelming at first, but try one thing at a time,

go slow, and things will get easier and better.

Hi Jen

Sample sizes are a good idea, SNT is definbtely an acquired taste that never

got acquired inthis house lol.

I would look into starting with enzymes, specifically Houstons, and an

elemental hair test from DDI as per files to start with.

My son was the same at 3, still non verbal now but communicating brilliantly

with PECS, facial expression and gesture,. social and defintely in our world!.

Enzymes and chelation have made the most difference, no quick fix out there

but lots of helpful stuff when you figure what it is your child needs.

Jen,

Welcome! I know everything can be overwhelming when you first get started - it

was for me. Every child is so very different that you have to learn what works

best for your child by trial and error. For me, I am always reading to learn

as much as I can to help my child.

My biggest concern when I first started this journey was that my son wasn't

talking as much as he should. When he was 27 months old he said maybe 12-15

words, but mostly " mama " . I had him evaluated by Early Intervention and he

started Speech, Occupational and Special Instruction Therapy. When he was 32

months old he had an 80 word vocabulary and maybe a handful of 2 word phrases.

I read about Pro-EFA and started him on one per day and his speech took off!

Once I felt comfortable that I had addressed his speech problem (not resolved

but certainly making great progress) I started researching things to help with

his hyperactivity, etc... I added Houston Enzymes (all three) and then

Brainchild Spectrum II, got an Essential Elements Hair Test from DDI and the

list of supplements grew and grows...

In July the diagnostic consensus for my 36 month old son was PDD-NOS, in

November it was ADHD. His vocabulary is great (I stopped counting at 1000+

words in October) and he speaks in 6-9 word sentences and asks questions)! It

terrifies me to think where he'd be without groups like this one,

, and many others on the internet and the wonderful, selfless,

knowledgeable, caring people that take the time to post and share what has

helped their children so that I can use it to help mine.

You're in good hands. Keep reading and go slow (one thing at a time). I got so

excited in the beginning with the good results from Pro-EFA that I added

Carnaware and DMG all at once and so when my son's hyperactivity increased, I

had no idea what to eliminate and had to stop everything and start again one at

a time... :-)!

Hello to everyone. I am relatively new and having been reading

everything like a crazy woman. My son, Greyson, was 3 in Nov. He is

totally non-verbal, no play skills, just wanders around in his own

little world. We are on a waiting list (scheduled to see dev.

pediatrician in Mar./Apr.)

I've been contemplating starting gf/cf diet, but want to try

supplements/enzymes first. I am overwhelmed on what to begin. I went

to the Kirkman's website and have a few things in my shopping cart.

Can you tell me if I'm on the right track or what I should do

different. Also, when I get this stuff, will it tell me how often

and how much to give him? Thanks for any help I can get!
