Guest guest
Hi, I had no problem with my first three rounds of DMSA, 25 mg every 4 hours. It actually made me feel better. This fourth time, however, I got very bad gut problems and food intolerances. I even woke up at night with tachycardia and bad chills. I was soaking wet when I woke up. I had onions, can sulfur foods cause this? I am wondering if I should switch to ALA instead? Why would I feel so good at first, but have problems now? Thanks, Bernadette

Guest guest
Onions are very sulfury, they may be relevant. You don't really include enough info to have a guess what happened. ALA makes sulfur problems worse. Try doing another DMSA only cycle eating a low sulfur diet, or the diet you ate for cycles 1, 2. or 3 and see how it goes. Guest guest
> IS THERE A LIST OF SULFURY FOODS SOMEWHERE? I have this list from someone who posted here a while ago. Yes. There might be others, but from my list: eggs, dairy products, bakery products containing whey, cabbage, bok choy, cauliflower, broccoli, broccoflower, brussel sprouts, kale, turnips, rutabagas, asparagus, onions, shallots, leeks, garlic, coffee.
