Guest guest
Good for you.....and the menu sound incredible what time should I be there...lol Licienne Easter....My way I’m making a South Beach Easter this year and I told everyone that if they don’t like my menu, they can bring whatever side dishes they want. It was hysterical because I told my SIL what I was making and there was silence on the other end of the phone….. She needs to lose over 100 lbs per her dr’s orders and each of her kids could lose weight also… Her children do not like vegetables except corn and ketchup (yes they believe ketchup is a vegetable J ). So she is bringing mashed potatoes and stuffing. Here’s what I’m making: Appetizers: artichoke dip, veggie dip with loads of veggies, pepperoni chips and of coarse a variety of nuts Dinner: Ham, turkey, mashed cauliflower, oven roasted vegetable (summer squash, zucchini, onion, red, green and yellow peppers), asparagus with lemon dill sauce, mashed sweet potatoes and braised brussel sprouts) Dessert: individual lime cheesecakes (in SB book) these are excellent…… They can take it or leave it…. That’s my attitude this year. I am doing all the cooking and cleaning and by golly, I am making what I want…. ~Lori From: Teddyberen@... I am having Ham and Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, lots and lots of veggies, huge salad as I am having visitors. I eat the turkey, salad, string beans, yellow sqash & zucchini medley. I leave the others to eat the wrong carbs. I also have a brown rice pilaf for people who do not eat white potatoes like myself and I may have some of that. Now...... I am trying to figure out dessert. I know I will make a cheesecake that I also can eat, , but will make an apple or blueberry pie with icecream for others. I also have a relish tray of the sort on table like olives, pickles, etc. that I will eat if feel the need . Hope this helps. Di Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. Guest guest
Let’s say around 1 ish J It’s funny, sometimes my family makes me feel like I have to defend my way of eating….They all say “oh my gosh, you don’t need to lose weight!!!” Well, for me, I do, and besides, it’s not about losing weight for me, it’s a lifestyle change and the weight loss is the added benefit.. ~Lori From: L.S Sent: Saturday, March 26, 2005 9:30 AM To: South-Beach-Diet-Getting-It-Right Subject: Re: Easter....My way Good for you.....and the menu sound incredible what time should I be there...lol Licienne · . Guest guest
If your family doesn't like your menu, tell them that you have people in line waiting to fill their chairs. Me, for example!
