Hi ....

****I'm really glad you bit the bullet and had that talk with your

daughter.****

I think the timing was right.... like I said before... it was certainly

a tough call to make, but a necessary one.

****I don't think it's just her. I think most children don't want to

face the fact of their parents' mortality- especially when they are an

only child and basically have had a single parent. ****

Boy to I agree there... before she left to go tripping around the

world... her and I were joined at the hip. So I do know this is very

hard on her.

****But, it's healthy to get it all out now.****

I agree, things have to be said to get it off your chest and clear the

air.

****I wonder if traveling that far by plane would hurt your lungs, or

not?****

It's my understanding that mostly it would be the recycled air on the

plane. I would want oxygen on board for me.

****If they stay the same, could it be done, as long as you had all your

medicine and didn't have to do any walking or anything else very

physical.****

I'm still going to give it a go. We'll see how close I can get to

taking off by the time summer hits. If I can get on one of the new

experimental drugs, that might really help me. I still would need

oxygen so I don't catch anything on board.

****I have no idea if oxygen can be used on airplanes like that. Do

you? ****

I don't know about International flights but regular flights will allow

it. You can't bring your own .... it has to be ordered a couple of

months ahead of time and they make sure they have it on board. It's

attached to the overhead above you and another one is under the seat in

front of you. I'm sure International flights will allow it but again,

you have to notify them in advance. I'm sure the oxygen costs and arm

and leg.

Take care and I hope you're feeling better today.

Hugs

Vicki
