Guest guest Posted November 1, 2004 Report Share Posted November 1, 2004 Hi Carol and Carol, Since the saoking is probably to soften up the pecans how about simmering the pecans instead of soaking. You probably wouldn't have to simmer for very long, maybe a half hour. The heating will prevent bacteria or mold from growing and the pecans will be softened at the same time.
