Hi, I am new so I can only offer encouragement. We have been on stage one

for quite a while, but I can see improvement even if his stool is worse now

that we started. I think the ladies would tell you to try the intro diet again

if he eats those foods. My son starved himself for two days. The other option

is to stick to stage 1 and possibly stage 2 for awhile and go back to the

intro diet when you think you can handle it. Congratulations on the new baby.

Keep to the diet, it will work. I will pray for you because I also have a four

month old and am tired and weary.

May Jesus give you his peace and strenght.

We only had firm stool for two days after the intro diet (where he starved

himself). I tried peanut butter and it loosed the stool. I tried muffins with

almond flour and honey and that was even worse. Sometimes it gets a firm

middle and loose edges. I have been trying to get spinach in him in hidden

sources, but now that I think about it the spinach went in the ck pancake raw so

maybe it did not cook well enough in the frying pan. I know he has too much

protein. Maybe we let him eat too much of a new food at once. He has been

eating sloppy joes with spinach and we were happy to get 2 new veggies in.

.

Just wondering why are you remaining on the first two stages when it is OK to

widen the range of foods as long as you introduce them gradually in small

amounts. Is your child sensitive to particular foods?

Please everyone, remember the stages are not mandatory. They are not included in

Elaine's book and are not written into the diet.

Sally,

This stuff happens and although it's upsetting when you don't have complete

control, you can get on track again.

Can you do the Intro Diet for just two days? Then, introduce only peeled,

seeded, cooked fruits again in the small amounts you deem appropriate.

You are so right! When other family members will be feeding,. it's important

they learn the diet.

It sounds like you have your hands full with new arrival and trying to

keep Nigel on track. Call a family meeting and explain that you have invested a

lot of hope in this diet after hearing how it has helped others and you would

appreciate their support as it takes close compliance to succeed. Assure them

that a month on SCD should reveal if it will help and it means a lot to you to

give it your best shot.
