Well, I can't speak from personal experience, but when we started my son on SCD

for UC, I spoke at length with Lucy from Lucy's Kitchen Shop since she recovered

from UC on SCD. Gas is a huge issue with UC and she said the gas was gone after

the 1st whole day on the diet.

Both my kids are on the diet and it's rare for me to hear them pass gas.

I'm sure more can give their input as well.

To any adult who is on scd, before you got on it, did any one have hot

burning, moving gas all in their abdomen, stomach and back ( meaning,

intestines and

colon) rolling and noisy and painful, that got better or went away after they

stopped eating carbs and starches?? If so, how long did it take before you

got relief? And if you

did get better, did you ever try to eat carbs again? Did you get the gas

pain back?

Were you able to pinpoint the gas and pain to being directly related to

carbs?

My constant gas dissapeared immediately upon starting the diet (the

day I started). It only returned (to a lesser extent) if I had

consumed illegals or something I wasn't ready for.

Ni, I haven't tried eating carbs again.
