arnica for spider veins on legs

Hi. I agree that there is not a cream that will eliminate spider veins on the

legs, but I have accidently found something that seems to make the veins

fainter. I am an avid hiker and a few months ago got banged up pretty badly

on a rough trail. I had bruises all over my legs, and have used arnica gel

from the health food store in the past for bruises. This time, however, I had

so many bruises that I decided it would just be easier to apply the arnica to

my entire leg. I did this for about a week, twice a day, and not only did the

bruises fade; but to my surprise many of my spider veins were much fainter

than they had been. It did not get rid of the veins, but it lightened them

quite a bit so that they were less noticable. I asked my doctor about this,

and she said that although she had never heard of that happening, that it was

possible. She also said to NOT use it on my face for rosacea flare ups as

arnica is NOT meant to be used on the face and can make rosacea worse. So,

please do not try it on your face for rosacea as i asked her specifically

about that.

I am curious to see if anyone else finds that the arnica gel helps their

spider veins on their legs to become fainter. I use the Boiron brand, but I

am sure that does not matter.
