Hi Stacey,

I am so glad that you are starting the SC diet. I hope that you saw

the post about Elaine's comments regarding allergies. It is about 2

posts before this one.

I am not sure about roasted nut butter,I hope someone else answers

that one but I will post some comments about nuts that you might find

intersting in the next post.

The l acidophilis GG is not SCD legal. I will post the name of the SCD

legal brands in another post.

Stacey,

The nut butters made from roasted nuts are okay. We just need to stay away from

roasted whole nuts...... because they usually will have a starch coating added.

All peanut butter is made from roasted nuts..... but they just roast the nuts as

is, don't need to coat them like they do nuts for snacking. For example, when

buying whole nuts, you buy them raw.... and then it's perfectly fine to roast

them yourself in the oven. Your Wild Oats nut butters (Maranatha, Arrowhead

Mills, , etc.) are fine, as long as the only other ingredient is salt, if

anything at all.

Eggs?

Also, I think you guys said you found nut butters at health

food stores? I have cashew butter, macadamia nut butter

and almond butter from Wild Oats, but they are roasted nuts.

I'm pretty sure I have everything they stock here. Aren't

roasted nuts illegal? How do I find legal nut butters? We

have a Wild Oats, but not a Trader Joes or Whole Foods.
