Donna,

Fruits and fruit juice add up carbs really quickly.

8 oz of grape juice has 38g of carbs.

1 avocado has 22g of carbs (Green type from Florida)

8 oz of apple cider has 29g of carbs

1 cup of butternut squash has 21g of carbs

1 medium banana has 28g of carbs

Fruits, veggies, nuts and beans all have carbs in them.

With fall approaching, a greater variety of winter squash is becoming

available. The other day, I bought " delicata squash " (for the first

time in my life). Its flesh is a beautiful yellow-orange color.

The delicata squash are super yummy.

Here's a recipe that sounds gross, but tastes really good.

Bake a delicata squash until it's done.

Fill the inside of the " wells " with applesauce (around 1/4-1/2 cup

would be my guess). Put crumbled legal sausage on top. Cover

with shredded cheese (if not CF). It's really yummy.

This recipe was on one of the delicata squash I bought last

summer. It was SCD legal (provided you use all homemade

stuff). I thought " why not " , my boys will eat anything and it was

definitely different than anything else I had done with a squash.

Crazy thing was that *I* liked it and I am soooo picky.

that puts my mind to ease. . . . they love their 100% welches juices

(diluted of course).
