Guest guest
I don't think any of us on this list are " water experts " . I don't know if there are any yahoo lists that deal specifically with the pros and cons of different types of water. Or maybe there is a website that details the positives and negatives about different types of water purification systems. Guest guest
the trouble with water is what is delivered varies a lot place to place so you have to sort through it yourself no one size fits all some no's so far i have seen are carbon filtering or mineral depleting water at the entry to the house, but the water then goes through copper piping really picks up bad copper zinc/copper filters dump to much inorganic zinc and copper in the water > I don't think any of us on this list are " water experts " . > > I don't know if there are any yahoo lists that deal specifically with > the pros and cons of different types of water. Well I don't claim status as an expert but will share reactions and an opinion. I cannot drink reverse osmosis water but am fine with spring water. And makes a good point. Bottled water should be tested often as the quality can vary even from the same source. When I first had sensitivity problems I drank distilled water for a year, but was aware it lacked minerals. As my gut healed, I could tolerate mineral waters, spring water and even tap water. Don't reuse the small bottles to refill. (My experience may not be at all relevant to others as I also had extreme chemical sensitivities at the same time as the onset of celiac disease.) With so many things to concern beginners to SCD, don't worry too much over the details like organic foods and bottled water. If you feel more comfortable with such things and they work for your budget, by all means use them. The real priority is becoming accustomed to the SCD diet and making the best choices within its guidelines. Carol F.
