Trouble posting hair test results/dealing with carpet.

I am having trouble posting my son's hair test results. When I type

them up, everything looks fine, but when I hit preview all the numbers

are jumbled. Any advice on how to keep the numbers aligned?

Also, my son's antimony and arsenic levels are high (both in yellow

range). His mattress is wrapped and he does not wear treated pajamas,

but we do have wall-to wall carpeting. We live in a rental so I can't

rip up the carpets. Is there any way to remedy the situation? Could I

purchase untreated area rugs and lay them on top of the wall-to-wall?

Is there a product I could use to reduce his risk? I would do anything

for my boy, but as a struggling single mom, I just can't afford to move

at present. If I had known 5 years ago that he would have these

issues...but truthfully, back then I didn't know such issues existed.

Thanks in advance for any help,

in NY

Hi ,

My son also tested high for arsenic and antimony.

His DAN doctor recommended that I steam clean the carpet every three

months using water only.

Also, tap water can be high in arsenic. So I buy jugs of Hinckly

Springs water that has undergone reverse osmosis. And that is all

we drink now.

Hope this helps some.

I am so sorry to disappoint you, but when we lived in a rental I did

that: I purchased untreated rugs and covered the carpet. Then after

a year I did my son's hair test and his level of antimony was the

same high. Because of this we bought a house, much worse than we

dreamed of (condo), and replaced the carpet. So may be covering the

carpet helps but in our case it did not help much.

I can say this different ways, some more technical than others.

The short answer is that I do not know of any way for you to post

the results without them getting " squished together " . I actually

talk about this in the HOW TO HAIR TEST file. I also explain

how someone viewing the squashed results can make them

" unsquash " . You are not doing anything " wrong " . Go ahead

and line things up and send it.

If you want to know more about why it acts that way, we could

discuss that too. The method that browsers use to align text

(HTML) does not maintain " spacing " --- It squashes spaces

together. In addition, disables the ability of people

posting from using some of the ways around this. ( treats

posted text such that HTML tags are plain text and are not

processed as HTML.) (This is quite legitamate

on 's part IMO.) There may be some trick to it that I

don't know, but I was not able to figure out a way around it.

(Actually I saw something posted recently that made me wonder

if I was " missing something " .... anyway, I don't know any

way to get things aligned other than the ways noted in

HOW TO HAIR TEST....)

good wishes,

Moria

One thing that I thought of right away was whether or not the rental is

regularly treated for pests and by whom? You definitely don't want to find out

that an in-house " punch " does the spraying. You might also request that your

rental be bypassed altogether if it's reasonable enough.

You also want to void any playing on lawns that are spray treated and playground

equipment that features pressure-treated lumber.
