Guest guest
, I am confused on how he is living on chicken pancakes since there are only two ingredients: chicken and eggs and you say that he cannot eat eggs. Can you tell us how you are making the chicken pancakes? What have you tried tha he has refused to eat? Have you tried making meatballs, meatloaf, chicken nuggets? What veggies have you tried? What fruits have you tried? Have you tried the Houston's digestive enzymes like Peptizyde, N-Zyme Prime and No Fenol? What supplements (including probiotics) does he take? Guest guest
, How about you tell us what he would eat, if anything was an option. Have you tried putting veggies into his chicken pancakes? What is he getting carbs from right now? Have you tried avocado? Guest guest
stop giving the dmsa, the doctor is an idiot. you are the one stuck with a life times care of a chronically liver damaged kid, these doctors don't lose thirty seconds sleep over it. deep fried foods have high trans fatty acid and induced toxin levels form the deep frying fat, really to be entirely avoided. bad for sleep to. shallow pan frying should also be done cautiously. the way you are supplementing is going to be excacerbating yeast issues what are the forms and how much are you giving of the magnesium selenium and zinc(google dosen't show anything on zimon sol zinc). how much vitamin c? > > > > > > > dmsa is damaging to the liver and his liver is > > already impaired > > > > it may well be making the phenol situation much > > worse > > > > how much and what dosing schedule are you using? > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi , > my son is scd for 5 months now. he lives on chicken pancakes. he can't have eggs and is > very sensitive to phenols!!!!!! any fruit he likes, he can't have. we found out recently that > he has colitis. GI doctor, dr. krigsman put sean on sulfasalazine. this made my son very > moody. crying then laughing. Did he start slow and build up the dose of sulfasalazine or just set a dose? Has there been any change in bowels since starting SCD? Before or after the sulfasalazine? Some do react negatively to the sulfur portion of the sulfasalazine while others just need to " get used " to the dose. > sean is a very picky eater. there are no snacks that he can > have on scd. he likes apples and grapes but can't have them. i started giving him > digestive wellness fruit leather as a treat. but he's like an addict. he screams for more, The fruit leather is an advanced food item for those who are doing really well on the diet. It is huge hit of legal sugar. > just as he used to scream before ever being gfcf. i'm thinking about going off scd slowly. > maybe trying utz (gfcf) potato chips first, as a snack. i need to give him a snack!!!!!!!!! > believe me, i've read and tried every egg free desert, snack, muffin. nothing works for > sean. he just started kindergarten. he needs to bring something to school other than > chicken pancakes. i believe that phenols and sulfates are hurting him more than potato > flour or starch was. any suggestions or thoughts?????????? Instead of using potato chips how about baked squash chips? Sheila
