I am also in St Louis area. I don't know of any support groups. My surgeon

has one but it's only for his patients. If you find one let me know. His

are too late at night for me to drive over there.

lbs.

My surgery was out of town and I'm looking for a support group to go to

thanks for the reply. It was illegal bread. She doesn't tolerate nuts. We had

another

amazing day- she was able to add by 7's and when she came to 56 she had no

hesitation and wrote the number. This was amazing. Praise God.

Hi Joanne,

Well, all though the other things may have played a part I'd say it

was likely the illegal bread that set her off.

I am glad to hear that today was a much better day.

Did your babies loose more weight than the normal few ounces that can be

expected? Did something happen? My babies never lost weight ... from

birth

to leaving the hospital to their first doctor appointment at about 3

days or

so, they had always stayed the same or had gained a few ounces.

Most (not all) newborns will lose 10% or more of their body weight in

the first few days. They are born with extra fluid and some fat --

nature's way of providing for them until mom's milk comes in. They

gradually lose this fluid, causing the weight loss people are describing

on the list. Again, most but not all babies will gain back what they

lost by around two weeks.
