Guest guest
Wonderful to hear about your son's progress! We are just beginning chelation with my 14 yr old. DMSA+ALA every other weekend. I had to respond also because you'd mentioned your son's inability to catch a ball. We too " suffered " with this for a while until I made the catching gesture and my then 3 yr old son said " Oh, you mean " squeeze " the ball " . The whole time we'd been " Lost in Translation " .....good luck...sometimes it's all in the perception. Thanks for allowing me to travel memory lane a bit. We still chelate every week end with DMSA (8mg) + ALA (8 mg). His language is really coming. He now has more spontaneous speech like " Look Mommy,... " and showing me something and started asking questions " What is it? " " Where is it? " . He also talks about his day and even about the previous day. " I did [this] yesterday " . Sometimes it really feels like conversation. It is so nice to hear. The descriptive language is gone. He used to only speak to describe what he sees. " The blue book is on the table. " He still rarely talks spontaneously about his needs (hungry, tired...). I always have to ask him. He still walks on his toes :-( but not as often as he used to, maybe 20% of the time. He runs on his toes 100% :-( He now jumps :-) He still cannot catch a ball. His prentend play has improved, but he still has way to go. He can play 15 min by himself appropriately. He now enjoys playing with puffed animals, babys and is a little bit creative. He still gets yeast. He still has food sensitivities, phenols especially but I think it is getting better. He is still 23-24 pounds. He has not gained any weight in the past 18 months. I think that's it! =======================================================
Guest guest
, Epsom baths might be helpful to jumpstart the sulphur pathway to gain some some weight. On sulphur stories list owens noted that alot of the kids were lacking sulphur when they weren't gaining weight. Guest guest
Thank you . You are right, he has sulfur issues. His plasma sulfate was very high in great smokies detox panel test. It seems that he does not use it! He gets epsom baths every night before going to bed. I also feed him a lot of sulfury food. Andy wrote me once that since he does not use sulfate correctly he needs to get as much as possible. Thanks, > , > Epsom baths might be helpful to jumpstart the sulphur pathway to gain some > some weight. On sulphur stories list owens noted that alot of the kids > were lacking sulphur when they weren't gaining weight. > R
