Sorry Aubrey, your message has me confused. Does " this stuff " refer

to Pico-Salix or the Phosphosoda cleaning you out?

just picked up on the pico-salix conversaton - Mike's G.I. specialist

insists on the soda phos stuff, but mike refused to drink it yet again - at

the hospital where I work, I'd noticed that one internists patients were

coming in for colonscopies and saying how much of a relief (no pun intended)

it was that they could drink the pico-salix - I called the transplant centre

and asked if mike could use it and they knew nothing about it and said

basically no, he had to drink what the dr. wanted.

Well, mike being mike, got the pico-salix and took that - went for the

colonoscopy and afterwards asked his doc if he was cleaned out enough, and

Dr. Tanton was pleased with everything, it was then that he confessed to

taking something other than he'd ordered.

I know it's personal experience, but most people feel the prep is worse than

the procedure, and if you can get something down you without vomiting or

gagging it's great. For Mike, he will continue to use the pico salix.

He asked about visicol pills but they didn't seem to know anything about

them here.

Thank you to every one who chipped in on the Pico-Salix bit, my

Mom's procedure went well just waiting for biopsy results. She took

the Pico and said it tastes just fine and had no troubles with it.

So I figured that When I get my colonoscopy next year I'm tring it.

To bad I did'nt know about this stuff earlier, I had mine last Fri.

and used Fleet(yuck in a bottle)
