Guest guest
Hey all, 2 weeks ago our new DAN doc wanted us to do a provoked urine test for heavy metals with DMSA. I was against this as most of the reading I have done says it is not safe. She swore over and over again that it was and really wanted us to do it. Against my better judgment and gut instinct (ALWAYS listen to that!!) we did it and I believe all the good work and glorious gut health perfect rophy poops every day for 5 months(which a recent stool analysis confirmed) has been smashed to pieces. I worried about stirring up all that mercury but I didnt really expect to destroy his gut. 2 days after the test he was sick throwing up...he does that often so we werent really worried. 10 days later he was flat on his back with god-awful diarrhea and vomitting. Its now a week later and his appetite is totally depressed, still has terrible diarrhea (looks like yeasty crap to me)and I'm convinced in one weekend we destroyed 2 years of work. I am devastated. We were getting to the point where we could finally chelate which was the point of doing the test in the first place. I've gone back to intro though he wont eat any of it. we are limping along. Does anyone have any advice or help to offer us? I am beyond depressed at this whole situation and can't get into a new DAN doc until the 30th. I can't get any supps in him, yogurt is a battle...I am a basket case. I wish I had stood up for what I thought was right. So sad,
Guest guest
i really don't undertand why the thought that these dan doctors are incompedent and you are better sorting it out yourself hasn't crossed your mind chelation also is a disaster area medical interventions have medical consequences this dmsa challemnge stuff is mild compared to the entire generation of autistic children that dan wiped out a few years ago with large single daily dose ala chelation which is like giving a challenge every day the best thing to passivate heavy metals is my dual selenium protocol in 'minerals i take' in the index of http://tinyurl.com/2csa3 scroll doen to SELENIUM PROTOCOL in the 'minerals i take' page and the 'copper and zinc' you can crush these scd legal supplements and should be able to get them into him if you do the dual selenium and other minerals you are already chelating in far safer and more effective fashion than 'chelation' i would compeletly eliminate fluoride as well. i have a feeling that the twenty minutes i took to write this is wasted and it is depressing as well. all the money and time goes to doctors who deepen the injury............................... what works is flicked off as not worthy of attention the effect of the dmsa challenge is a strong signal that the mercury/lead heavy metal cluster mobilisation kinetics will be a disaster with chelation........ > Hey all, > > 2 weeks ago our new DAN doc wanted us to do a provoked urine test for > heavy metals with DMSA. Guest guest
Hi , If he in't eating at all, you should give him the electrolyte mix (below) so that he won't become dehydrated. If he won't eat the yogurt can you use the probiotics instead? Is there anything he will eat? ELECTROLYTE DRINK from the LI Listserve 1 quart boiled water 2 tbsp. honey 1/4 tsp. of salt 1/4 tsp.baking soda Can be kept in refrigerator for 24 hours. After that, a new batch should be made.
