Guest guest
Coral, I recently added a Halloween page to the Holiday ideas page on pecanbread.com. You might check there and see if any of the ideas might work for you. The peanut butter caramels are good and my boys love honey sticks. Guest guest
http://www.huntershoneyfarm.com/store/STX00001-clover-100.ht ml This is where I get my honey sticks. It's a local place and they set up at our Farmer's Market every weekend and their honey is sold in our HFS. The online store sells 100 clover honey sticks for 10.55, plus shipping. They are 10/ $1.00 at the Farmer's market. So, the price is just about the same. I have no financial interest in the company. Guest guest
You can still trade with him. The peanut butter caramel recipe is awesome. Or make up some peanut butter cupcakes with frosting. Or you could buy a new book or toy and trade that way. Trick or Treating is the only time of year kids can wander around the streets at night! LOL It's a shame to miss out on it! Chrystee > > This is our first Halloween in SCD... What do you guys do for candy? > > Do you go treat or tricking? Guest guest
I debate this as this is our first SCD halloween as well. I think we will prolly still do all the festivities and we will sub the goodies he gets for legal goodies later. It's the fun of the even more than the eating of the stuff that is fun for him, at least at his age (4). If he were older, it might not be that way though. Robbie Halloween Candy This is our first Halloween in SCD... What do you guys do for candy? Do you go treat or tricking? Last year we were on GFCF, so I managed to trade all the candy my son had for skittles. Now skittles are out, and I am very tempted to just not do Halloween. However, it is his favorite holiday in the year. He has always loved the pumpkins and people in the street dressed up... So I am hopeful we can still enjoy that without the candy!!!! Any ideas?
