Do I think the dietary references in this article were terrific? Not really as

SCD seems to bunched up with the diet that gives harmful starches and the

reference makes little distinction between the two. It's progress over last

year when they elcted not to accord any space to SCD.

Carol.......... Hey, it's progress for sure. Give them time. When parents read

this, they may jump ahead to SCD.... thinking, hey, why should we mess around

with the GFCF? Let's go right straight to this other diet that works better for

many. Especially if they compare the two diets fairly, they'll be making that

leap. There is a whole new generation of ASD kids coming along..... and their

parents haven't been steeped in GFCF for years, with corn starch gluing their

brain cells together. I just think that in another year, you'll be seeing GFCF

falling completely away.... and articles like this will mention SCD for gut

healing and leave the rest to the footnotes of history. I'm just amazed to see

it included at all......... when remembering just about a year ago (wasn't it?)

that Mothering rejected the proposed article about SCD. This is a big

transition....... and worth cheering about! Just you wait........ the tide is

turning big time! I just think it was worth applauding the article..... because

it does take a VERY different stance than the mainstream line of B.S. that most

MD's espouse. It will get better and better, though....... Patience! Patience!

Patti :)
