Guest guest
DEAR JONI I WENT TO LINE DANCING LAST TUESDAY NIGHT. I WAS TALKING TO A WOMEN ABOUT IN HER 40'S BUT SHE DID NOT KNOW ME. I HAPPEN TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT HEAVY AND SHE SAID TO ME "GEE YOUR NOT A HEAVY PERSON". I SAID TO HER "WHAT DID YOU SAY" AND SHE REPEATED IT. I THANKED HER SO MUCH FOR SAYING THAT. I SAID I RECENTLY LOST 72LBS AND NEVER THOUGHT THAT I WOULD EVER HEAR SOMEONE SAY "YOUR NOT A HEAVY PERSON". SO I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM. AGE HAS NO BOUNDRY WHEN IT COMES TO WEIGHT. BUT I DID FEEL GREAT. RAYNA
Guest guest
, OMG! That is exactly how I felt... While in the womens sections I thought they were looking at me, grumbling " why is she shopping here " , and then when I went to the regular section and nothing fit, I knew for sure they were saying the same thing. Chances are no one cared either way what department I was shopping in. It's just me being self concious... Congratulations on the size 14! Way to go!! Guest guest
Bethie, I think my next husband would have to be either a plastic surgeon or a miracle worker before I attempt that. Joni - Dr. Thayer 11/27/

Guest guest
Joni, Congrats on shrinking out of the plus sizes! Some stores carry size 18 in the regular department, and I found these to be perfect when I was too small for 16W, and not quite ready for 16 regs. You would think they could get together and make the sizing consistent from one size up to the next, but the W size clothes are definitely cut differently. Penney's & Wal-Mart carry 18's I think K-Mart & Sears might also. P.S. To share in the triumph...Last night I was at Fashion Bug...They had these cute little brown & dk. olive khaki-style pants....size 14. They were only $7 apiece and buy one get one 50% off, so knowing full well that I'm a 16 I said what the hey---eventually they'll fit. I got them home and lo and behold...they fit NOW!!!!!!!! I was a size 14 in high school!!!!!!! I can finally learn what 's Secret is!!! The creepy thing is, I'm still convinced as I shop in the reg. size dept. that all the skinny people are looking at me thinking "she shouldn't be here!" jdd716@... wrote: I was at Filenes bright and early this morning. They were having this great sale... I had a blouse which I had bought along with a ton of other stuff in mid February which they had left the security tag on which I needed to return. I returned the blouse went upstairs to the bathroom came back down stairs to the women's section and there was the blouse now $10 cheaper than I had bought it back in February. I decide to try on the blouse and a bunch of other stuff (like 40 things)... So I'm in the dressing room and I try the blouse (size 18), it's huge, try something else, huge, again and again. Nothing fit (I had brought in size 16's and 1X's). So the lady at the register tells me I'm too small for the plus sizes and I should go to the regular clothes (who me???)... So off I go, I grabbed a bunch of 16's and X-larges, go through the whole trying on thing again, but this time they are all too small! So now what do I do??? Great exercise trying on all those clothes, but I came home empty handed (this has never happened to me)... Help... Joni... Who does not fit anywhere ....
