HELLO FAMILY

Kenny here, just wanted to let everyone know I am doing much

better now. Had a rough day yesterday had no meds, and had a really

bad flare up, it was a day in HELL. Today is much better, I would

like to thank Eve for letting you guys know how I was doing, also

like to thank each ,and everyone of you for your support, and prays.

I would also like to welcome all our new members, I hope you

find all the luv,and support here that I found.Meds seem to be

working, just going to take time to get it into my system.

Monday going to call my SSI case worker again, I want to know

what more do they need to show I should start getting some cash, I

left a message with her supervisor on friday, I told her that they

don't put people on meds like moraphine, percocets, or oxycotin, for

minor problems, that alone should be enough to start some cash coming

my way.GOD knows we could use some cash coming in this house. All the

fights the wife and I have all from the lack of cash.

Well so much for that, I know you all can relate. Here hoping

you all have as little pain as possible.

Kenny,

I didn't know you where feeling bad. Had to go throu 288 e-mails and used the d

key alot. I'm glad your feeling better. Keep bugging Monday for some assistance.

Call every hour. You would think in the good ole usa that people have to go

without medication. I'm lucky that I'm on the programs that I have. Otherwise I

would be a hurtin to. Hope your enjoying your sunday. Take care and rest a

little. Pain takes alot out of us.

Thanks for writing back

I do have a lawyer, and he is a good one, we go to court in sept. for w/c, the head lawyer says there will be no problems, they beat wal-mart all the time. I know I have a great case, as for SSI I will bug them so much that they will get sick of hearing from me. I am a fighter, and I will get what I should get.You take care of yourself,

Re: doing better now

Kenny,

I've been trying to get SSI since Feb 2003. I'm now on my 3rd appeal, waiting for the letter in the mail telling me when I'm supposed to see the ALJ. The letter is supposed to come 20 days before the court date.

I've done everything I could so far, including writing to my State Senator's, Congressmen, Governor, Attorney General, Lt. Governor and State Reps. I found out that the only ones that can help me is the Senators and Congressmen......because SSA is a Federal Program, where the Governor's Office and AG is both State offices.

But, so far, both Senator's and both Congressmen sent me the forms to sign so that they can get my files from the SSA to look over and see what they can do to help me. Hopefully, they'll be able to do something.......

But, most of the people who has RSD doesn't get SSI or SSD on the First try. It usually takes 2 or 3 tries before getting it, because RSD just actually got recognized as a disabiling disease by the Social Security Administration/Federal Government. There is a woman in this group that actually fought for over 7 years to get on SSDI......and finally won her case. Others I know has fought Worker's Comp for over 15 years just to get what they rightly deserve....both monetary and medically......because if you have RSD in one limb, it's still considered full body due to it being the Nervous System and uncurable.

So, if you don't get SSI on your first try, don't give up.......send the forms back for an Appeal.......and Fight back to get what you deserve! And, hire a Lawyer that works on Social Security Cases only......that way, you'll have help with your appeals and everything so that you don't have to do it all alone. Plus, get letters/Files from all of your doctor's......Pain Management, ER's, the Doctor that Diagnosed you, Physical Therapy, etc. Anyone that you have gone to from the day you became injured. Whether it was a doctor, Emergency Room, Therapist, Psychiatrist....etc.

Actually, write down the names of every single one of the above.....along with address's, phone numbers if possible.......and give them to the SSA with your appeal, so that they can send the Consent Forms to them to get your Medical Records from them to look at themselves.....you can also request a copy of them for yourself.......so that they can make their decision with ALL of the medical info in front of them, including the most current doctor you are now seeing....which, you need to get him to write out his opinion and stuff on his letterhead, and then take the paper and stuff out to the SSA office yourself, or mail it to them...so that they'll get it for sure. Otherwise, they might not get it in time when they make their decision...

Good luck! I hope you do get it soon.....instead of waiting 18 months and counting like I am.....

Tonia
