Oh my...I think that I would have had to snatch up that poor dog and taken it myself rather than have it wait like that.

I have worked in the past with dog rescue groups and really wish that I could still do it. I have more than enough going on with my own pain and suffering to be able to deal with the many dogs that need help right now. I told hubby that as soon as I was well again...I would be right back to bringing the needy dogs in. He used to be completely opposed to me doing that work, but I think he has adjusted to it and would be happy for me to get back into it.

Teri,Glad that the nurse is working with you. Most of the time they do. I was working as in home nurse till June. 2000. I have found now that most of the in home nurses I have don't want to do any more than necessary. Can ya tell my experience with them ain't great?This will saddend your animal loving heart. I was on my usual walk with toby and came upon a little looked like shitzu or some poodle mix. with a wire as a rope around her neck. She was hooked up in a front yard. It just trembled, had an eye injury like it was missing. The so called owner said he found it out on the road the night before. That he was going to take it to vet as soon as wife got home. oOO this made me so angry. I could tell the dog was not well. If it where me she be seeing the vet right away. I did give the person names and numbers of our shelters here. Advised him of the policy of no kill. He wasn't going to take it to the animal control cuz he thought they killed them there.I just had to do some education and hope for the best for that little girl.Otherwise I didn't get nearly anything accomplished. Just kinda bumed around. Hope I get my rear in gear tomorrow.Rest up women. need all your resources to get through surgery and son's treatments. I know how exhausting that all can be. Cause it goes on and on and seems like no end. Well enough rambling.Take care,Laurie

MN. Been out with dog letting him run some what free in the trails. Kinda treat

for him I think. He just loves sniffing around.

Pain level better today. Now if it would stay that way LOL. Did my checking

account balance today. They say I have more. That always makes me leary cuz if I

spend it Bingo I get an od. Man I sure try and balance every week. Can't afford

the od charges. I plan on not spending any $ for the week and then see where I'm

at. Math isn't my strong point! Going to cut up some watermelon and kick back.
