Guest guest
This is a question to all: Do you think we hang on to " fat " clothes cause we really don't realize how much we have lost? I remember once losing 30 lbs and trying on something that I hadn't worn in a long time - it was falling off of me! It was then that I realized I how much I lost! The sad part is that I kept it and NOW WEARING IT! AUGH! Jackie Still in pre op stage! Guest guest
Hey some of my fat close is pretty nice stuff. What's worse is I've found probably 3-4 items that STILL HAVE TAGS on them. Yup, never worn. In fact I found that much in www.kingsizedirect.com and www.bcoutlet.com from 1.5 years ago that I've returned for store credit. What was I thinking? One thing for sure, changing clothing sizes on the way down has me shopping more wisely. Well, at least a little more wisely. But there are certain sweaters and things I'll miss this winter. They were great, comfortable, warm, etc. Guess I'll just have to buy a new black leather coat or something to drown my sorrows. Hehe I now have my 6X and 5X boxed up and there they sit. I have to try to fit it all in the van and take it to Goodwill I guess. Then I need to get rid of the 4X and really the 3X too. sniff sniff, sob. Unless someone here wants to buy a large box of clothing cheap? I guess I could try selling some of the tagged stuff on ebay. Pictures, posting, etc. is easy for me but packaging and shipping always seems like such a hassle. Maybe it's all in my mind. Heck if I sell a few items for $10 each that's money I don't have right? I'm trying to find some other options to get rid of this mess. My clinic said they did a clothing swap once but don't do it anymore. Not sure why not. They have literally hundreds of patients. My mind has not caught up to my body yet, will it ever? I think of people I have seen that have lost ALLOT of weight like and Robyn, how do you guys feel now? Do you still have issues with clothes? I just cant toss out all my old BIG comfy shirts....LOL....... Guest guest
I think I'm a cross between not realizing how much weight I lost and the binkie stage Mike talked about. I guess Im also afraid I will gain it back. I'm still in the mind frame of a 290 pound woman in a 178 pound body. Right now I am wearing mens Xl sweat pants and a 3x shirt. Im swimming in them. Oh well they make good lounging around the house clothes. I bagged up most of my big clothes last night to take to the Thrift Shop here on base. I need to buy some new clothes. Guest guest
Mike you could always try freecycle or craigslist. I'm ebaying my clothes. That way I have $$ to buy new ones! LOL! I do have a few things I'm giving to certain people that want them; but the rest are ebay! W 380/325/160 Mike wrote: > Hey some of my fat close is pretty nice stuff. Guest guest
I'm taking my more expensive suits and work clothes to a tailor to have them taken in. To have them tailored only costs between $5-10. Re: Re: what is everyone doing with their big clothes? Mike you could always try freecycle or craigslist. I'm ebaying my clothes. Guest guest
I think it's a hard transition Mike. Really! By getting rid of the old we are saying we accept this change and change is difficult. I feel so much better that I got rid of most of that stuff and now writing this, I am going to go back up stairs before bed and pull all the big shirts I kept that I was keeping to sleep in now because you know what, it is still a reminder and makes me feel like the old me... can't allow that. I don't know if you all have been feeling something similar in connection with your clothes, but man, I do. Guest guest
Shauna, Throw out those big shirts and go buy something cute or sexy to sleep in. It'll make you feel great and you deserve it for the hard work! Then you can post pics for the guys ;-) I'm sure they'd appreciate it! > >> > >> I havent gotten to your stage yet.......Im still wearing my big shirts > >> around, i look like I am wearing my older brothers clothes back in 5th > >> grade!
