Guest guest
Hello Helen, > Here's my son¡¯s hair test results and URINE AMINO ACIDS test results. > I don't know about the urine amino acids test. I'll get to the hair test (below). > Wong is autistic and his hair test results were to identify mercury toxicity. And he has overgrowth yeast and lots of allergies and sensitivities (all common allergens ). He is 4 years and 8 months, about 50 pound. I started chelating for my son with 25mg DMSA and have done three rounds. Every 4 hours for 3 days 11 days off. I think I see great improvements. that is very encouraging! > I would greatly like to ask dear Andy, Moria when should I add the ALA? How much? Should I stop the DMAS while starting ALA? If not, what the proper dose of DMSA and ALA I should give to my son? Well, if you son has had RECENT exposure to mercury, say a shot with thimerosal in it, then you should wait. Otherwise, you can add ALA whenever you wish. In your case, since he has high LEAD, I would certainly recommend that you continue using DMSA in addition to the ALA. You can find recommended amounts to use here: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/Andy_dose_sched.html Please note that when you add ALA, you will also need to change to giving doses every THREE hours (rather than every 4). You can give both the DMSA and ALA together every 3 hours. > I started to give him below supplements and doing GFCF diet too. Are the supplement reasonable for my son according to my son¡¯s test results ? I don't know. In general the list of items seems okay to me, but I am not sure about the amounts, and I don't feel at ease with recommending supplements-- it all seems very complex to me. The GSE I would use only if/while he has yeast (not always). Okay, now I'm going to look at the hair test: Counting rules: step 1: elements above 50%: 14 -- this is normal step 2: elements in " red " : 2: this is normal step 3: elements average: 15: this is normal Summary: your son has normal mineral transport. This does not guarentee that he is not mercury toxic, but he does NOT have this sign of mercury toxicity. It may be that lead and arsenic are his 2 biggest problems. (DMSA chelates lead and ALA chelates arsenic). If there is mercury, these chelation agents will also remove the mercury. You should ALSO check your home and water for sources of lead. Ideally you should do this before chelating. Same with arsenic. good wishes, Moria > Any comments, and suggestions about what to do next, would be greatly > appreciated!! > > Thanks! > Helen > > > > POTENTIALLY TOXIC ELEMENTS > element result Guest guest
Helen, You have a full suppliment schedule! It will be challenging for you to determine when to reduce/change things as your son needs to. Here are some things I would consider... 1. Watch that that B vitmains arent making him too hyper. SNT can be pretty rough for some. Enzymes seem to help available vitamins and many parents have needed to reduce the doseage of B's. 2. Don¡Çt give GSE every day. It kills natural flora as well as yeast. I use it as the last line of defense. For maintenance I use Candex enzymes, No Fenol Enzymes. Honestly, the best thing to use is lots of garlic. Its hard to get down them though. 3. Watch out for too much selenium. It can be toxic. We saw stomache upset when the dose was too high. 4.Whats in the mineral complex? 5. I would post your results on the ambd board. 6. If you cant use ALA, then you could try apple pectin for the arsenic. 1¡¢ Super Nu-Thera(B6) Liquid 10ML(separate 4 times every day) 2¡¢ Vitamin E 500IU (separate 4 times every day) 3¡¢ VC-buffer: 1/2 Teaspoon 2200mg (separate 4 times every day) 4¡¢ B-Complex: 2Capsules (separate 4 times every day) 5¡¢ Selenium 100 mcg 1 Capsules (separate 4 times every day) 6¡¢ Buffered Magnesium Glycinate 300mg (separate 4 times every day) 7¡¢ MILK-THISTLE¡§4 Capsules (separate 4 times every day) 8¡¢ Yeast-Aid 2 Capsules (separate 2 times every day) 9¡¢ Vitamin A 50000IU (separate 2 times every day) 10¡¢ Zinc¡§40mg 2 Capsules (separate 2 times every day) 11¡¢ Molybdenum 1000mcg (separate 3 times every day) 12¡¢ Calcium¡§1000mg¡¤(separate 3 times every day) 13¡¢ Multiple Mineral Complex: 2 Cap (separate 2 times every day) 14¡¢ Taurine 325mg 15¡¢ L-Glutamine 500mg 16¡¢ GABA 2 Capsules 17¡¢ Colostrum 10ml (separate 2 times every day) 18¡¢ & szlig;- GLUCAN¡§200mg (Before a meal, separate 2 times every day) 19¡¢ scFOS : 2.5ml 20¡¢ Grapefruit seed Extract 250mg (separate 2 times every day) 21¡¢ Alpha-Ketoglutaric acid 600mg (separate 2 times every day) 22¡¢ DHA¡§540mg (separate 2 times every day) 23¡¢ Cod Liver Oil 2 Cap (Vitamin A: 2500IU, Vitamin D: 270IU) (separate 2 times every day) 24¡¢ Pedi-Active(Phosphatidylserine/DMAE) 6 Tablets (separate 3 times every day) 25¡¢ EnZym-Complete/DPP-IV 3 Capsules (Before a meal) 26¡¢ CoQ10 1 Tablet 27¡¢ CULTURE GOLD 2 Capsules (Before the meal, separate 2 times every day) 28¡¢ BM 6 Tablets (Before the meal) 29¡¢ Melattonin 1 mg(1 hour before bedtime) just during taking DMSA You can see that Taurine, Beta-aminoisobutyrate, 1-Methylhistidine, 3- Methylhistidine are very high in the URINE AMINO ACIDS test results. I am concerned with the Taurine being so high, I don't know if this is good or bad. Should I still give Taurine to him? How can I help my son? I want your opinion. Any comments, and suggestions about what to do next, would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! Helen
Guest guest
, I have some questions want to ask you. 1.Where can I get the Candex enzymes and No-Fenol enzyme? 2.Is kirkman Fenol assist the same as the No-Fenol? 3.Can I use something else instead of garlic? As garlic is one of my son " s allergens, 4.What is apple pectin?Where can I got it? The detial of the mineral coplex as shown: 2 capsules of mineral complex contains: Calcium (Citrate) 125 mg. Iron (Fumarate) 2 mg Magnesium (Oxide) 60 mg. Zinc (Citrate) 7 mg. Iodine (Potassium Iodide) 10 mcg. Manganese (Citrate) 300 mcg. Selenium (Complex) 25 mcg. Chromium (Complex) 30 mcg. Molybdenum (Complex) 5 mcg. Boron (Complex) 500 mcg. *not established Thanks a lot. Helen > Helen, > > You have a full suppliment schedule!
