Guest guest
Thanks, Glenna! I just downloaded the Stanford one but it looks so confusing that it may take me a while. Some of the values are so different. I'll follow your advice and go with the labels. Sorry I can't help you with your questions but I am sure someone will be along soon who knows much more than I do!! I hope all is well with you and your family! Happy New Year! Re: Food Question about Computer Program Hi , I used the land meal planner, too, until just the last month or so. It seemed easier to me to use than the Stanford one I downloaded, but now that I've switched I love the Stanford planner! It has made her meal planning easier for me now that I've gotten used to it. The land program is getting on in years now, so some of the information may be out of date. You can go in and add/edit food values, so I would do that based on the label from what you are using. By the way, anyone who reads this might be able to answer a question or two that I have about the Stanford planner... 1. How do you add more meal plans than just the standard 8 or so? 2. Each time I add a new food to the value database, it messes up the meal plans I have saved. Any way to avoid this? Thanks a bunch! Glenna, Are you adding the new food in alphabetical order? That will mess things up because it changes the cell value for the meal plans you've already done. Your new food won't be in alphabetical order, but if you add it to the bottom of the food value list, your old meal plans won't change. I did manage to add a few pages and room for 2 more item on each meal plan, but I'd have to really think about how. Or I could email you a copy of my revised planner. ~Barbara

Guest guest
Hi Satnam. I use the planner recommended in Dr. Freeman's book. It is from the PA Epilepsy Center, I think? (don't have the book with me; I'm at the office). You have to get a prescription for it sent to them from your dietician. It is also pricey- I think with shipping it was like $100. There is a free one from the Stanford keto group that you can download off of the computer. I took a look at it this weekend but it is different than the one I am used to so I haven't used it. I think they both have values that are different from what I see on labels on some foods, so be careful with that. Otherwise, I think they're great to use! I am just starting to venture out and make up more fun meals for Langan. Let me know if you want the info on the planner I got. I can email it to you from the house. I hope Kristan is doing well.
