Guest guest
Evaporated cane juice is liquid sugar. Carageenan is not allowed either. There is a list on Elaine's website of legal/illegal foods. http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info There are no store bought brands of nut milk that can be used on SCD. They all contain illegal sweeteners of some sort. There are recipes for making nut milk on pecanbread.com. http://www.pecanbread.com/recipes.html Jody mom to -5 and -7 SCD 18 months

Many of the ingredients in the Blue Diamond are illegal, CARRAGEENAN, SOY LECHITHIN, and EVAPORATED CANE JUICE However homemade nut milks are legal. Please check the legal and illegal items in BTVC and see the recipe links on http://www.pecanbread.com/ Carol F.
Guest guest
" Can anyone tell me if Almond milk is acceptable on the SCD diet? To make your own, it takes as much as 1/2 a minute (tossing in the blender + sieving afterwards) plus the blending in the blender. You can vary ingredients. When homemade, you'll have it very fresh. I make 4-5 cups (1 litre) every morning. Marjan Netherlands
