Guest guest
Hi, Rhonda, This is so uplifting and such an inspiration for us! We leave next Sunday for Hopkins for our daughter, 's, 2-year follow-up on the diet. She has been completely seizure-free for 21 months, and med-free for 6 months, and we are hoping that we will be able to start weaning in some form and " see what happens. " Our epi wants us to wean to an Atkins-style diet and stay there for awhile....not sure what the folks at Hopkins will recommend. We are nervous, but also excited at the prospect of putting the old scale away....please keep us posted on Shan! Carolyn, mom to , 5 > > Just a quick update on Shan since we quit weighing her food. Guest guest
Just to throw my two cents in... my daughter Lynden began having trouble with the kgd after 12 months. Fine tuning was not working. We gave her body a chance to return to a normal metabolism although her myoclonics and atonics were almost constant. We now have her on day 3 of Atkins and she is doing so well. Not totally seizure free but she has so much more freedom on Atkins and her seizure control keeps on improving. Weaning by moving toward Atkins may be a really safe thing for . Ann Shepard Re: Diet Weaning Success.....so far...update Hi, Rhonda, This is so uplifting and such an inspiration for us!
