Guest guest
s Hopkins Hospital Report s Hopkins has recently sent this out in their Newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Army Medical Center. Dioxin Carcinogens causes cancer, especially breast cancer. Don't freeze your plastic water bottles with water as this releases dioxin in the plastic. Dr. Fujimoto from Castle Hospital was on a TV program explaining this health hazard. (He is the manager of the Wellness Program at the hospital.) He was talking about dioxin and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers (this applies to foods that contain fat). He said that the combination of fat, high heat and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the ZZZbody. Dioxin are carcinogens and highly toxic to the cells of our bodies. Instead, he recommends using glass, Corning Ware, or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results.............without the Dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. He said we might remember when some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons. Also, Saran wrap placed over foods as they are nuked, with the high heat, actually drips poisonous toxins into the food, use paper towels. PLEASE! Pass this on to your family & friends & those that are important in you life! Guest guest
The issue of toxins from plastic is a crucial one. After doing some research I discovered that " Tupperware " is the only household plastic that does not use the poisonous chemical that leaches into our food. I used to save all my old margerine etc. containers for food storage. I have thrown them all out because I discovered that the expiration date you see on the margerine containers is not actually for the margerine, it's for the container. This holds true for all similiar plastic containers. To the uninformed, Tupperware brand products may seem costly but when you consider the life time guarantee and the health benefits it's really a long term investment for your health. The Canadian Cancer Society actually recomends the use of Tupperware's Rock,n Serve system as the safest and healthiest choice for cooking in the micrewave. Never use plastic of any other kind in the micro. And beware of plastic wrap, the softer the plastic the easier it breaks down and gets into our food. Cooking and wrapping food with plastic wrap in my opinion is hazardous to your health. Same for sandwich baggies. I am a consultant for Tupperware because I wanted to get lots of free products and I also get a min. 30% discount on everthing. At my first party I got $900 worth of Tupperware for free and it wasn't difficult. I am not trying to advertise T. I am simply sharing the knowledge that I have aquired that has helped our family. As we are all aware our ASD children have enough toxic burden to deal with without loading them up on toxins from plastic. Watch for T. at yardsales. People sell it for pennies. I think they must be crazy but hey I'm not complaining. wk3 SCD, 4yrs ASD, 2yrs typical > > > > s Hopkins Hospital Report > > > > > > s Hopkins has recently sent this out in their Newsletters.
