Guest guest
To Everyone: Can u tell me if Alfalfa is legal or illegal. I can not find information on it anywhere. I am looking for a food high in Chlorophyll. Seaweed, Algae and Wheat grass are all out! Again looking for a food rich in Chlorophyl. Thanks, Jimmy
Guest guest
If you mean alfalfa sprouts...... I don't think those are legal. If they were, you'd have to cook them anyway, in the beginning. Doesn't sound too appetizing. Then they'd also have those fibrous little hulls that you'd never be able to separate out from the sprouts themselves. What about spinich and kale? And actually, I don't think this is listed on Elaine's website, but I believe wheatgrass JUICE is okay (correct me if I'm wrong, somebody)....... obviously not if you have a true wheat allergy, though. And juicing is not recommended for brand-new beginners either. Patti, mom to Katera, SCD 15 months illegal or legal To Everyone: Can u tell me if Alfalfa is legal or illegal. Guest guest
Hi Jimmy, Alfalfa is illegal. The juice of sprouted alfalfa grass would be okay. As long as it is only the grass and not the seed. From http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=george & dbid=52 , " All of the green vegetables in the World's Healthiest Foods - asparagus, bell peppers, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, green cabbage, celery, collard greens, green beans, green peas, kale, leeks, green olives, parsley, romaine lettuce,... spinach, Swiss chard, and turnip greens are concentrated sources of chlorophyll.
