Guest guest
Why resting period is needed? Why it takes several years to completely remove the mercury in the body? Andy says it take 6-11 months for a moderately poisoned person to complete the chelation. Is it calculated based on the numbers of cycle of chelation in 11 months, or by other consideration? If the frequency of cycles increased, e.g. 3 on 3 off - 5 cycles a months, can the whole chelation process be shortened? Why each cycle of chelation should last at least several days? What is the miximum dosage of ALA for a 160lbs adult? Is the higher the better? When would I feel better approx. when I start to chelate myself as an adult who has been toxified for 20 years? As mercury causes damage to cells / brain cells, would the damages be permanent, even the mercury be removed? Thanks a lot.

Giving ALA every day, at least at first, would cause my son's yeast problems to really increase. It is also hard on the liver and kidneys, so giving them a break to rest is a good idea. > Why it takes several years to completely remove the mercury in the > body? This took just over 2 years of a 3/4 schedule, with occasional 3/11 or 4/10 schedule. I believe lead takes longer. > Why each cycle of chelation should last at least several days? Shorter cycles also caused yeast for my son. > What is the miximum dosage of ALA for a 160lbs adult? Is the higher > the better? I would start lower, like about 50 mg, and see how you tolerate the process. I don't know the maximum, altho I would not increase it more than 50 mg each time you increase it. > When would I feel better approx. when I start to chelate myself as an > adult who has been toxified for 20 years? Hopefully relatively quickly, altho keep watch for yeast. > > As mercury causes damage to cells / brain cells, would the damages be > permanent, even the mercury be removed? Not for my son, but since you are older, you might have some difficulties that younger kids don't experience. Good luck. Dana
Guest guest
You need a resting period because chelation causes oxidative stress to the cells and they need some time to get back to normal. Don't rush this--low and slow is the way to go. If you try to do high dose, and fast, you'll end up (probably) with a child who is worse off than before. Yes, the 6-11 months is thinking about the cycles every 3 on 4 off, or 3 on 11 off. We did 3 on 4 off with my son for the first year, and supplemented like crazy, but by the end of the year his mineral levels tested as pretty depleted. So the next year we went a little slower and that has been better for everyone. (You get tired when you get up in the middle of the night.) Remember, your child cannot chelate with dark fillings in her mouth! If she has any, they must be removed first! Guest guest
You might want to look at Andy's website at www.noamalgam.com for answers to your questions about chelating as an adult. Guest guest
No one knows the amount of damage, or the potential of the brain to recover, but my son, who is 23, is recovering in some areas, so there is hope!
