Guest guest
Hi, I dont know how many of you live in New York and are receiveing Early Intervention for your children but I needed to make sure everyone knows. Gov. Pataki is planning on passing a bill that will cut the benefits of children with disabilites by 1.6 billion dollars which will affect (my littl munchkin) tremendously. She receieves therapy from Early Intervention and with the help of these 5 amazing woman my little girl has come along way from where she was. God only knows how hard it is to get such wonderful people to support your child and you as a mother so very much. Cry with you clap with you and just be all around womderful people. I cant afford to pay for her services due to well putit this way I am still paying for what hasnt been covered from her first two surgerys and obvisouly the cost living alone. Anyway, if we all try and get in touch with our assembly man or state senater we can complain and beg them to vito this bill. I dont think it should be this hard for parents (especially single ones) to have to fight for there sick child so much just for therapy to continue to make her life a little brighter and sweeter! She loves her therapist every time the door bell rings she smiles and just gets so excited that they are here to play with her and make her work without even knowing she is doing it. Please help us if you live in NY. I know I have seen many people who take advantage of the system. But should they have people weed them out before cutting the only benefit that actually helps my little angel. God gives us strength to fight for the children. The children give us the strength to go on. God Bless Us All! Thank you THank you for listening, NIeves mom of Nieves-, NY 2.5 yrs old
Guest guest
I have tried weight watchers also and I gained twice as much back after I started eating again. I am weak and I knew it. Yes this may be the easy way out but Im glad I did it and anyone who has had it done will say " ITS NOT SO " TOOTIN " EASY !!!!!!! I work as a Therapetuic Recreation Aide at a Cerbal Palsey Home and my break down was when we took our residents to Hershey Park and got to go in the " exit " ramp. We carried the resident onto the " Water Soaker " and when I went to get in the seat the bar would not close. Two BIG men came over and tried to push it to get it shut. Then said im sorry but you cant ride. I was so humiliated because there were about 200 peps waiting to get on the ride and we had to carry the resident off until the next turn so someone thinner could ride with them. I cried off and on the rest of the day. Thank God my boyfriend volunteered that day to come along and he kept telling me it was ok. But I knew deep down in it wasnt ok I made a total " JACKASS " out of myself. I had my surgery on June 23, 2004 and cant wait to ride in June of 2005 at Hershery. When I know I will fit on all the rides. Tammy In PA
