Guest guest
Is she now technically " yours " , meaning the adoption has gone through? If so, then I would consider holding off on any more vaxes because IMO yes, it does sound as though she is having bad reactions to the vaxes based on the crying and the other behaviors you are seeing. As far as treatment now... my first suggestion would be to start some epsom salt baths. I don't know if there is a File for it on this board or not, but I have some info on it if you want to email me privately maryandphilip@... I mean, yes, you are right in that most text will talk about regressions around 18 months of age, but that is generally the more dramatic loss of speech/failure to speak that is typically associated with autism. What you are describing could be considered " sensory integration dysfunction " type of symptoms, and those can start early on, as you are seeing. Some kids with sensory-only symptoms go on to fit into categories such as autism, pdd, adhd, ocd, etc., so it is good that you are noticing these signs early and can start to help your baby's body heal. I know on the TLC-SID board, there is a file on Cranio Sacral Therapy and the listowner (Barb Carr) is an Occupational Therapist with specialty in sensory integration, and she has an affinity for biomed and alternative treatments for kids with sensory issues, so you might want to join that board and ask her for some suggestions, too. Guest guest
There are no " absolutely safe " vaccines. Get a copy of Cave's book, " What Your Doctor May NOT Tell You About Childhood Vaccines " . Do you know the birth parents' health history? What you describe sounds like vaccine reactions IMO. He was very severely autistic " from birth " , until I began chelation. It sounds like your child should have no more vaccinations. >>All the sites seem only to indicate 18 months and up for symptoms. My son did not regress, he was always this way until I removed most of the metals. Dana
Guest guest
Yes, you should be concerned. Mercury poisoning from thimerosol and other vaccine reactions certainly start before 18 months. My son's symptoms started at 4-6 months. Look in the files on this list and you'll find lots of information. Guest guest
There are three idiot components to these vaccines, which Null indicates quite clearly in his paper Vaccines:A second opinion. 1) Mercury from thimerosal 2) The viruses themeselves injected directly into the body 3) The animal byproducts the viruses are cultured in. There are several ways to go to chelate the mercury out of the child's body. PCA-Rx, Andy Cutler's protocol, and more. See this list. 2)The viruses can be attacked with Rife machine electronic frequencies, hyperbaric oxygen, and nutrition 3)The animal byproducts can be attacked with hyperbaric oxygen, nutrition, Rife and herbs. Draw courage from the people on this site. >From: " romkemas " <jromkema@...> >Reply- >< > >Subject: Re: [ ] infant vaccinations/symptoms >Date: Tue, 29 Apr 2003 12:15:40 -0500 > >Yes, you should be concerned. Guest guest
> Are there any immediate indications that a baby has been harmed from > vaccinations? oh, um, you mean like maybe crying and fussing continually, and screaming all the time? These are signs that are very obvious to anyone that something is wrong. Apparently your baby did not do this prior to this vaccination. But now she does. Something changed. Perhaps it is " something else " but what? > We are conservative about immunizations, but allowed > our baby to have a few that the doc promised were " absolutely safe " > because we are in the middle of adopting her, and didn't want to > appear neglectful. I have read a lot of posts with stories like yours: child gets vaccinated and cries or screams for days or weeks. Very disturbing, and I have not met the kids, only read about it. Much more disturbing in person, I'm sure. > There are other > things I am noticing (avoiding eye contact with the person who's > holding her, flapping her arms, hitting her head), and I am wondering > if I should be concerned. Guest guest
The reason you are only seeing information indicating symptoms for babies 18 months and older is simply a lack of knowledge and research. Unfortunately the funding has never been there for autism research so the data hasn't been compiled. I knew with my son from the time he was about a year old that " something wasn't right " . It took visits to neurologists, psychologists, audiologists, etc and about 2 years more of time before anyone would give him a diagnosis. The signs are there, doctors just don't have the education in spotting them, so they are reluctant to " guess " . There is a study being done right now that's working on formatting a check-list of symptoms for children as young as 6months. Things like responding to the parent's face, babbling, reaching for a toy, and the like, are being ear-marked as reliable indicators of a future diagnosis of autism. I would also add that you are right to be concerned about your daughter. As the person who spends the most time with her, you are going to be able to tell before anyone else if something feels " off " with your baby. Don't let any so-called " professional " who spends 20 minutes or so of his busy day with her, tell you that your concerns are ungrounded! Guest guest
I have a 8 months old daughter and I completely understand your fears. After reading your post today I " checked " her and she does not always look at me when I hold her... she does bang her head sometimes in her crib, she plays with her fingers in front of her eyes... But she also babbles a lot, she just started pointing, she imitates when playing with toys! For now, I just try not to worry too much! She got all her vaccins until she was 4 months old. I read one of the most early syptoms is to not wave bye bye. I do not know if it is true for most autistic children, but it was true for my son. Guest guest
Frederique, Thank you for the encuoragement. It's so easy to go into panic mode! I don't think all is lost, and we are going to head things off with avoiding further vaccines. Shannan > > Are there any immediate indications that a baby has been harmed > from > > vaccinations?
