Guest guest
Hi all - Thank you all for your support, I really love that this group exists! Anyway, I had the hyst/lap in early November and then as the doctor suggested waited one cycle and then bam I just found out I'm five weeks pregnant - when i think about the fact that we tried for over a year with no luck, and then get my septum removed and the very next cycle I am pregnant, I'm thinking there probably is something to the septum/ infertility thing... anyway, I've never been pregnant before, anyone have any advice for me? Guest guest
First...CONGRATS are SO in order! Wow that was quick wasn't it?? As for the pregnancy...just ENJOY it. If your keeled over in your bathroom with morning sickness...it is a GOOD thing (may not be fun but it is GOOD) Read all you can find. I loved your pregnancy week by week. I found it very interesting. Oh yeah and get out and walk, excercise, and watch what you eat. I gained a whopping 70lbs with DS and I SO regret it. (I lost it all but still)I am going to stay active next time and eat good things. Being pregnant is not an open invitation to eat whatever you want (at least that is what I am going to CONVINCE myself) Have fun and I wish you a happy and UNEVENTFUL 9 months

A very large septum really can do a lot of damage to an embryo trying to implant. If there's not a good lining on the septum, then an embryo wouldn't make it, and you wouldn't even look like you were briefly prg. > > anyway, I've never been pregnant before, anyone have any advice > for me? > Try to relax (ha ha!). SU resected has such good stats--it's almost as good as a normal uterus. Do, of course, have your doctor check your cervix starting at around week 10-12, to get a baseline reading, and then have the doc check every 2 weeks or so after that, either by manual check or transvaginal u/s, or a combo of both. You need the checks b/c SU women have a higher chance of incompetent cervix. And, when you get into the 3rd trimester, just pay attention to your body closely. If something doesn't feel right, then go bug the docs until they really carefully check it out. Pre-term labor can easily be mistaken for back pain, or for cramps, or whatever. It's good to be vigilant. I'm hoping your prg will go smoothly! I'm SU resected, and I had no probs at all with my prg.
