Guest guest
My doc recommends Tums and if it's just from what you ate or a "common" case then it should work. If it continues...... tell your doc! Question regarding antacids---kind of gross Last night I woke up with horrible acid reflux, in fact, my throat was almost totally clogged. It was like when you get a cold and you throat's all gunky. It was horrible. Anyways, I bought some rolaids today and used some this afternoon, they work well. My question is this...would taking a couple before bed help me from being woken up with acid reflux?SharonPlease visit our website at:http://ACES_Autoimmune.tripod.com
Guest guest
Probably. If your worried about it cut out any foods that might do it too. Acidic stuff. Another hint my doctor gave me but that I have not followed up on is to elevate the head of your bed by a few inches. Stay away from caffeine too. Hope you don't get it tonight. If it turns into a regular thing go to the doctor & get some nexxium. I feel so much better since I started taking it. Guest guest
Might. But try raising the head of your bed a little and don't sleep on your right side or eat too close to bedtime. Do rolaids have calcium in them? 'Cause if they don't and you want to stick with the chewable thing, TUms do so that's an added bonus. If they don't work, maybe you need to try something stronger, but OTC--like pepcid or prilosec. Guest guest
Good point. I took it from the fact that Sharon asked the question that it's a new thing.
