Guest guest
LOL--quite an adventure! Kathy my excitement today I let my neighbors 2 Brittany Spaniels out today. Tanner, the male, caught me an 8" mole....lol I should have known he "heard" something. He was SO intent on the ground. I was reading and I looked up and he was digging. I was too late, the mole was in his mouth. He wanted to play with it...lol I went home and got our shovel. I couldn't kill it. I remember my dad taking a shovel to them. The mole was a live wire and kept falling off the shovel. Crying too. I was trying to keep him on. That was a show in itself...lol I put the shovel down in the street so I could get a cardboard box from the garage. I didn't want him digging into the ground while I was away. I got him in a huge box and put the lids down so he couldn't get out but still get air. I'm leaving here in a few minutes to go to Meijer to get mini-blinds (they're BOGOF) so I'm going to drop him off at the park. I was laughing so hard. I get the wierdest things to happen....lol The mailman came by and I asked him if a mole could chew out of a cardboard box. He said he didn't know but his dogs catch them too. He offered to kill it for me. I told him thanks but no, and that was going way beyond his duty....lol He's so nice! He was just laughing too....lol If anyone needs to know, moles do NOT chew through cardboard....lol Oh and then Tanner decides to focus on what's under their shed....lol He was poking his head in a hole of the lattice I think he had just chewed through because there was a nail hanging off and broken lattice to the side. So I cover it from a batch of wood in their backyard that the dogs were also intent on something under them....lol I'll never have a hunting dog....lol Daggone....lol Laughing does make situations easier to handle. I'm glad I found it all funny...lol I know a lot of people who wouldn't..lol Shirley the mole catcherPlease visit our website at:http://ACES_Autoimmune.tripod.com
Guest guest
That's hilarious and sounds like something I would do! Ronnie was trying to kill an armadillo in our yard at 2 am one time and I was so worried about that stupid armadillo (the one that's digging holes all OVER my front yard!) but he managed to escape. Hmmmm he hasn't come back either LOL I hope your mole is happy in his new home and didn't leave a family behind (not to give you soemthing to worry about LOL) but I'm wondering if he'd find his way back. Hmmmmmmm time to do mole research! hehehe Congrats on the deal on the blinds! Hope you found what you were looking for! my excitement today I let my neighbors 2 Brittany Spaniels out today. Guest guest
Yep, I've been out of circulation for a while but boy oh boy did I shoot my wad today. I showed Jim a really classy looking 2 piece jacket and slacks in the Draper's and Damon's catalog. and commented on how classy it looked. I said I had a couple of things I have coming up this fall that I could wear it to and it said if I wanted it to order it. It was pictured with Mother of Pearl earrings and a pendant necklace which I thought I may as well get if they had it in stock. I looked on the Internet and was disappointed and they said they were out of it and I was a little disappointed but for every outfit I like from their store, there are always another dozen that I can be happy with. When I was in California, I had a pair of capris I had ordered earlier that didn't fit right so I thought I would just return them when I was there. I must have been getting sick with the pneumonia or whatever I had because I walked in the store, made the return and only glanced at a couple of items on the way in and out but was only in the store maybe 5 minutes total. I think Jim must have been catching the flu again for him to say go get it because even though I had a gift certificate from my SIL it was still a bit over what I usually pay for my clothes ....but if it fits good I should be the belle of the ball at my class reunion. The individual pieces are so expensive but by the time I got the parts all together, I had added up quite a large total. Guess it will have to be my birthday present too...and that's okay. Need to start lookin for more BOGOF.... LOL The thing I like so much about this is the floral embroidery and cording. I got a couple of different tops to go with it so it would look different at times. Here's a picture of the detailing on the jacket. I hope I can get back to sewing like this again sometime. I could do this once upon a time. http://www.drapers.com/images/PRODUCT/ZOOM/1291alu123ofl.jpg Jane my excitement today I let my neighbors 2 Brittany Spaniels out today.
