Guest guest
Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN. It is where we initiated the diet. I had worries about it but the folks at Hopkins assured me that it was fine. Dr. Pena-Garze, who handles the diet patients here, was trained at Hopkins. , mom to Langan > >Reply-To: ketogenic >To: ketogenic >Subject: Outpatient????? >Date: Tue, 16 Dec 2003 13:13:54 -0500 > _________________________________________________________________ Get holiday tips for festive fun. http://special.msn.com/network/happyholidays.armx

Guest guest
Hi, Our son was five when we first put him on the diet. It didn't work out so we quit after 3 months. He's 13 now and we decided to give it another shot. We live in Hawaii and are working with a dietitian and neurologist in California via phone. Of course, we still have our neurologist here following as well. I am so glad that we did not have to admit him and do the fast. This go around we skipped the fast, put him on the 1/3 eggnogg for one day and then I started the meals the following day. What a big difference! We skipped the nausea, vomiting, weakness, lethargy and other negative effects that he experienced the first go around with the fasting. His ketones have been high from the start. This is just our experience and I don't know if this would be similar for others. Good luck! > Does anyone know of centers that are initiating the diet as an > outpatient? > Kathy > > ________________________________________________________________ > The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! > Surf the web up to FIVE TIMES FASTER! > Only $14.95/ month - visit www.juno.com to sign up today!
